The environment

The third ANU Poll examines public opinion towards a wide range of environmental issues and policies in Australia. Topics covered include: concern about the environment, individual behaviour aimed at protecting the environment, attitudes towards global warming, support for nuclear energy and uranium mining, and willingness to pay to protect the environment.

Higher education

Governance

A strong democracy requires widespread public support for, and trust in, political institutions. The inaugural ANU Poll examines public opinion towards Australia’s major political institutions. Topics covered include: confidence in institutions; satisfaction with democracy; federal-state relations; priorities for government spending; and perceptions of government competence.

The Australian National Institute for Public Policy (ANIPP) and the HC Coombs Policy Forum receive Australian Government funding under the Enhancing Public Policy Initiative.
